History

Gerald "Jerry" Akers began his career in the building industry at the at the age of 16 in a lumber yard in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Prior to coming to Hawaii, he worked in the building products manufacturing industry in Texas and Michigan, supplying construction materials to clients in the continental US and abroad.

In 1988, Jerry received his Hawaii General contractors license and incorporated his firm, Territorial Builders, Inc. in early 1994.

Territorial Builders projects have included construction and remodeling of residential, custom residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Territorial Builders has been recognized by Pacific Business News and the State Of Hawaii as a recipient of the Hawaii's Fastest 50 award.
